XMAS PARTY

The shed had its xmas party today a great time was had by all,many thanks to JESS,BARRIE and allthe others who helped to make it a great day.MERRY XMAS TO ALL.

LIFE MEMBERS

PETER & WALLY long standing members of the shed were made life members,here they are receiving there badges from BERT.The shed was founded by PETER & WALLY almost four years ago.CONGRATULATION for a job well done.

THE TIGER

DOUG has made a great job of a golfer hitting off, well done DOUG.

OLD HORSE AND A NEW HORSE

The shed did a great job on replacing an old horse to a new horse with a lot of help from the jockey ALAN and the strapper PHIL well done guys.

ERNIE'S BOAT

ERNIE was given this boat when he was six years old, it needed a lot of work doing to it, so ROD got stuck into it and did a great job of bringing it back its former glory,then ERNIE gave the boat to ROD what a great guy ERNIE is.

XMAS BOXES

The shed made two xmas boxes for THE CENTRAL COAST OUTREACH SERVICES witch will be put in the BAY VILLAGE SHOPPING CENTRE at BATEAU BAY.Photo shows JOHN alis JOHN THE BAPTIST from OUTREACH loading the boxes on his trailer,and a couple of elves looking over the finnished boxes.

A BULLDOG

MALCOM one of our shedders has made a bulldog,with a little help from TIM well done MALCOM,.

WISHING WELLS

DOUG one of our sheders has made these wishing wells,they are going to hospitals for donations to be droped in for cancer research,well done DOUG.

HAPPY 80TH ALAN

ALAN a long time member of the shed turns 80 on thursday,last sunday his daughter JOANNE gave him a suprise party with about 12 shed members gate crashing it.Thanks JOANNE it was a great afternoon.Today the shed gave ALAN a cake and wish him a very happy birthday.

KIDS IN SHELTER

VICKY from kids in shelter gave us a talk today about what they do for kids, so the shed will be making and donating toys to this great cause.thanks vicky.

THE SHED IS GETING BIGGER

Last tuesday our shed grew a little more,an awing was erected over the front part of the shed.

REGENTS PARK MENS SHED

The men from regents park shed came up from sydney today,all had a great laugh and a bbq lunch,thanks kev for arranging the day.

MEN'S SHEDS TURN MEN'S HEALTH AROUND.

women have always shown greater interest in health issues, 3 to 1 than men.

About 5 to 6 years ago, the "Men's Shed" movement started up as a registered health Promotion charity. Problems with men's health such as isolation, loneliness, depression and other issues are helped greatly with men's shed's.

it is uniquely Australian where men are sharing and preserving the skill's they have that are relevant to the community.

I for one worked alone for years in my garage restoring furniture until 4 years ago I joined a new men's shed at Kincumber, and now I work with wood turner's, carpenter's, and professional retired furniture restorer's. Now we are nearing Christmas, we are very busy making toys for local charities.

there are now 560 "Men's Shed's" in Australia, growing at a rate of four a week, with membership of over 50, 000 men.

We are now exporting the concept to Canada, UK and Ireland.

NEW HORSE IN THE STABLE

ALAN & CHARLES are starting work on a new horse,can't wait till it is up and running.Might run better than some that i back.

A bit of intricate work on the "band saw" with Bob and with John & Ernie giving moral support

The "KINCUMBER MENS SHED"would like to congratulate and wish Peter Miller all the best in his new occupation and to thank him for all the great work he did to get our "constitution" written up.

TEACHING THE LADIES

JIM BARRIE AND GRAHAM are teaching the carers from the SAMARITANS how to be sheders,they are making a table nappin holder and did very well.

RECYCLING

MICK one of our sheders created this table and candle stick holders from recyced timber,here we see the ladies from the davistown RSL auxiliary,and a photo before and after of the timber we are putting to good use.

SAMARITANS DAY

We had a great day with the guys making money boxes,trays and a cd shelf.

The boys from the shed made a new raffle barrel for the EAST GOSFORD LOINESS,here we see DION and VICKY being presented with the barrel,thanks for the cake went down well.

GREAT TIMBER

Our shed was lucky enough to get a load of great timber thanks to TOM WILSON AND STAFF from OCEAN TRENCHING TECHNOLOGIES at gosford,thanks TOM sure will make a lot of things.

ANTIQUE TABLE

This antique table was lovelier restored by the shed members and lacquer by the shed master painter,thanks PHIL.

ROUTER TABLE

This masterpeice was built by PETER well done PETER,it has a wind up router opperated by a ratchet handle on top,to good to get dirty.
