BADGE TRAYS


CHARLES is seen here with some badge trays for ANZAC day next year.They will be used to sell badges at the davo RSL.

INTARSIA


INTARSIA is a woodcarving art from the 14th centenary and masted by DAVE.He is seen here with a beautiful clydesdale horse and foul.DAVE is so proud of it he is going to enter it in the Easter show next year.Well done DAVE.

CRAFT FAIR


It rained and it rained last saturday but the men from the shed could not be stopped,tere we see ALAN and GORDEN on the scrole saw cutting out hugs for any one who wants one and there were plenty of offers,while ALAN H was outside busy turning out bowles.The fair was held with the car boot sale day at the Uniting Church Kincumber.

ERNS GARDEN


The shed played host to the ABC gardening show GARDENING AUSTRALIA on friday.Here we see our NO 1 gardener ERNIE with presenter ANGUS STEWARD from GARDENING AUSTRALIA.Thanks Angus and the crew of Gardening Australia,looking forward to watching it on the ABC in the new year.

NEW BAND SAW


The Chapter District joined with Karagi Court Ltd in giving the Mens Shed at Kincumber a new electric band saw and blades to assist this organisation,in the local work they do for retired men.

The Chapter was represented by Roger Whitehead and Derek Crawford who spoke highly of the work being done by the members of the Kincumber Mens Shed and wished them well in there future endeavours.

Graham Bowie the treasurer thanked the Freemasons for their donation and said the saw would make a big difference in the finished product that they produce for other organisations

WISHING WELL


Our wishing well has been completed by the men at the shed and some of our community workers.We have a momorial wall built into it for passed members.

IN MEMORY OF CEDRIC BARRETT


It is with reget that we have to advise of the death of Cedric Barrett, a long standing member of the Kincumber Shed who sorted all the nuts, bolts, nails and screws. He will always be remembered with high regard. May He Rest In Peace.

Graham one of our sheders built this small caravan.He a keen kyaka and camper,well done graham.

NEW CHOCOLATE WHEEL


A new chocolate wheel was built by the men at the shed for the nautical village social club.The wheel will be used at the monthy meat market.Joy came down to the shed to pick it up.

Phil our furniture restorer has done a beautiful job to this old piece of furniture,brough it back to new.well done Phillip.

PHIL & CHARLES are working hard on a Masterpiece.They do all the furniture restoration and do a great job.

OPENING OF KUC OP SHOP


The grand opening of the kincumber uniting church op shop was today.All the smiling faces after putting a lot of hard work into setting it up.The shop is in the grounds of the church next to the mens shed,and will be open tuesdays,wednesdays and thursdays from 9.30 -3.30.The shop will sell clothing apparel and bric-a-brac.

Kevin's Boat Trailer

Kevin D, felt that His boat trailer needed maintenance so, 4 blokes from the Shed and off came the boat and the trailer to the Shed. It's not long before it looked this, new springs and U bolts purchased. A coat of Rust-converter today.

BABY'S CRADLE


The cradle was built by Jim and Mick in the Men's Shed and decorated by the girls in the Craft Group from the Uniting and Coast Community Churches. The cradle was donated to the Davistown RSL Club-Ladies Auxillary to be raffled.

Car Boot inaugral sale


To suppliment the cost of running the Shed operations it was decided to offer for sale at the regular monthly Car Boot Sale, sponsored by the Uniting Church, items made by the members, as well as some surplus items as donated by members. Payments for the sale of these items are by donations to the shed. The stall was ably manned by Craftsmen/sales assistants, Graham, Jim & Phil,
